Today the group were off to Lyon. We decided that, after a long day travelling, we’d take it easy and stay at the hotel and visit the nearby town.

The hotel is perfect. A converted chateau in beautiful gounds with many park-like areas with tables and chairs in which to relax. 

After a leisurely and tasty breakfast, around 10:30am we strolled down into the small town. It’s nothing special, its fame coming from its thermal spa and winter sports links. At this time of year, it’s simply a provincial town with the shops and cafés you’d find anywhere. We had a good look around and spent some time enjoying relaxing outside in one of the cafés.

We were back at the hotel for just after noon and spent the rest of the day unwinding in the hotel’s gardens (and taking a few much needed naps!)

The day was completed with an another excellent meal. The restaurant staff knew about Margaret’s dietary issues and were well prepared with alternatives where needed (as they were for the rest of the week.)
