Edwards Executive

Rye - 2 April 2026

‍We travelled about an hour eastwards, arriving around 10:45. There had been much mention of its weekly market, and the coach park was alongside… quite an exciting prospect!

‍It looked like a group of rag & bone men had set up to clear out the junk they’d accumulated over the past year. One stall offered burnt-on food ovenware for a pound an item. Seriously. There were rusty garden tools, assorted nuts and bolt and lord knows what else. Some clothes stalls were selling the leftovers from a down-market charity shop.

‍We moved on!

‍Rye itself was actually quite a nice place. Small, but nice. We found a Cornish bakery for tea and snacks, so good we went back at the end of our time for another try.

‍The sun was out most of the time and we were only there for around 2 hours (less than the total travel time) so it provided an experience to take home with us.
