Niederau is a small village. The main town is Wördl, a twenty minute drive down the mountain. To our surprise we’d learnt that the hotel will give you a Wildschonau Pass which offers free public transport, including the cable car. We had a plan…

And abandoned it.

Instead, we spent the day in the hotel, sitting on the balcony, sitting in the room, lying on the bed, any and all of the above, chatting and reading books.

After such an exciting and busy tour, departure tomorrow and a long drive, a day chilling out was more than welcome.
