Departing from Greenwich (London), our first port of call is the Scottish capital of Edinburgh.
Next, retracing the footsteps of Vikings, we journey to the windswept Orkney and Shetland Islands of Scotland and cross the Arctic Circle where, at this time of year, the midnight sun shines 24 hours a day.
We reach our most northerly destination, Honningsvåg (Norway), from where we travel to view the remote Nordkapp (North Cape). It’s so far north it makes many “northern” cities look positively “southern”!
Heading south, we cruise to the Lofoten Islands and then through the deep-cut fjords along the Norwegian coast.
Finally, we have an overnight stay in the former Hanseatic League city of Bergen and then fly home.
